The bouquet offers aromas of ripe plum and blackcurrant with subtle elements of integrated oak, mocha, white pepper and caraway seed. The palate is rich and generous with layers of dark plum, chocolate, cedar and spice. Supple French oak tannins add complexity and complement the fruit and acid structure resulting in a savoury, lingering finish.

Good deep colour with a youthful tint, and a very shirazzy aroma of plum, herb and fresh-turned earth. The fruit takes centre-stage. Concentrated dark plums. Its soft, supple and rounded in the mouth, with a note of black pepper. It has a touch of elegance and good persistence: a very attractive shiraz to drink young or keep a while.
